The new city for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds includes a number of new buildings, with some that are as many as nine stories tall. The city is a dense urban environment on a scale different from what players will have seen in Yasnaya Polyana, Pochinki, or Georgopol. The map and city are still a work in progress, and there’s no certain date when this new map will come out, though it would make sense for it to hit the Early Access game before PUBG’s final release.

This new city should offer players new experiences in PUBG, as the high-rises and tightly packed buildings will create more of an urban combat feel than what’s currently in the game. The height of the buildings alone can create a lot of opportunities for players trying to lie low as they wait to see where the circle goes next, and all the windows and possible vantage points will spice up the sniping game. Plus, rounds that end in the city will definitely play out differently than the current final standoffs that can have players just hiding in the grass waiting for one another to blow their cover.

This news comes alongside more exciting information for Xbox owners who have envied their PC counterparts’ access to the game on Steam. To be specific, PUBG and this new map will eventually be coming to Xbox One and may be a timed exclusive for the console.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available on PC, and is set to launch exclusively on Xbox One as part of the Xbox Game Preview program in late 2017, with a final version of the game launching in early 2018 across all Xbox One devices.
