The new patch doesn’t bring in any of the major features a lot of PUBG players are undoubtedly hoping for, such as a first-person mode leaderboard or the climbing and vaulting abilities the developers have been showing off since E3 2017. Here are the details of the patch:

Bluehole Studios’ decision to throw out the patch schedule likely raised concerns from a lot of players, as it could mean a delay in seeing some of features players want most go live. But this recent patch at least seems to indicate the Bluehole Studios will continue to release fixes to some of the problems still facing players in the Early Access stage of the game, and there still are plenty of things PUBG needs to fix.

Partially fixed client crash

Fixed marker graphics bug on the World map

Fixed miscellaneous bugs with team game reconnect feature

Fixed a bug that caused a player to exit a vehicle when they pressed ‘F’ to cancel using an energy drink

Unfortunately, this patch isn’t likely a signal that players will get the big features they’ve been waiting for, like new maps and more movement abilities, anytime sooner. Since Bluehole Studio  dropped the patch schedule to focus on the quality of each patch, it seem more likely the features will take longer to reach players, though the game is still planned for a final release within around five months.

All the same, it’s good news for players of PUBG to receive bug fixes in steady order. This is especially true as the player base continues to surge, passing most games on Steam’s peak players chart, and going even higher recently.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available in Early Access for PC, with a late 2017 release expected for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
