The developers have announced that the character will be available for Kombat Pass holders on May 5th. Non pass holders can purchase the character separately after a week. Mortal Kombat creator, Ed Boon, has also stated that players will be able to try the DLC characters out before purchase. Besides Jason Voorhees, the studio will also be releasing new ‘scary’ skins for characters Reptile, Mileena and Ermac. Once again, season pass holders will be receiving these skins first, though you can purchase these skins a week later on both platforms.

The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack is priced at $30 and will contain four DLC packs which will release throughout the year. These packs will also include future playable fighters like Tanya, Predator and Tremor, as well as more themed character skins. These characters can also be purchased separately, though non-pass holders will have to wait for a week before getting their hands on the characters. Here’s hoping there are more DLC’s planned for Mortal Kombat X.

The game is available now for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. NetherRealms have claimed that it is the biggest launch in the franchise’s history.
