The current deal consists of Sega publishing four titles that Platinum creates. Ending with Vanquish, the deal is all set to expire, but Platinum wants something more long term. In a recent interview with Develop Magazine, Inaba had this to say:

On the subject of Platinum Games’ feelings for Sega and how they’ve been treated, Inaba had no ill words to speak of the publishing giant. According to him, Sega was very supportive of Platinum and they were allowed creative freedom:

Platinum has yet to announce their next title, but later on down the line the company would like to own their own intellectual properties, unlike the current scenario which sees Sega owning the IPs.

What would you like to see Platinum Games create next? Do you want a sequel, perhaps to Bayonetta? Do you care if a developer owns their own intellectual property? Hit us up with your thoughts on the matter below.
